Way to go, waiter

Another excellent post the other day from my fave industry blog, www.waiterrant.net

He does seem to get more than his fair share of a**hole customers, though. I'd really like to find a British version of this guy.

Claudio Pulze to rescue W'Sens

So after months of chasing this story we have eventually pinned down what is happening at W'Sens, the London restaurant of the famous French chefs the Pourcel bros. For a long time rumours have been circulating that the restaurant near Picadilly Circus has been struggling - it didn't open to great reviews - but then about two months ago we heard it was in severe financial trouble. The PR for the concern, doing her job admirably, kept throwing us off the scent. She insisted the rumours were way off the mark and that the Pourcels would not be hot-footing it back to France with their tail between their legs, instead the restaurants' management was going to be restructured. Alas we hear the truth is a little more serious than a restructure... Claudio Pulze has saved the restaurant from financial ruin, while the Pourcels will continue to be involved as consultant chefs. It will be interesting to see what Claudio will bring... new name, new menu and run teh restaurant... some re-organisation
