Gerry "I'll Show Them Who's Boss" Robinson is back in the sector after five years absence. The TV business troubleshooter, the star of BBC Two's reality business programme "I'll Show Them Who's Boss", is back at the helm of a hospitality operation, following his appointment as chairman of Moto, the motorway services operator that was recently bought for £600m (reportedly) by Ozzy bank Macquarie. So at last Robinson, who is described by his agent as one of Britain's greatest businessmen, has got his hands on another hospitality business. Since leaving Granada in 2001, it seems that Robinson has been desperate to get back in the sector following his hostile advances for Rentokil Initital last year. Guess Robinson will be telling Moto chief exec Tim Moss and managing director Brian Lotts "Who's Boss" when they have their first board meeting. Could be fun.
