Is there no limit to the voracity of Gallic love god chef Jean Christophe Novelli? After telephoning him in Spain recently, Kitchen Rat overheard a female moaning in the background, in what we can only guess was pleasure. His people hurriedly explained that the sound came from a member of his staff who was moaning through the exertion of sheer hard work - no doubt one to crack the whip, I guess.

But the ghost writer of Marco Pierre White's autobiography White Slave, James Steen, has now fuelled further rumours about Novelli's hankerings. JC told him that if Marco had been a woman he would have married him! Just think of the poor kids.

Hollywood heart throbs film at the Connaught and Claridge's
My rat buddies at two of London's poshest hotels recently spied some Hollywood A-listers doing a spot of filming there. Apparently Woody Allen is shooting parts of his new film at the Connaught and Claridge's, and last week the Oscar-winning director set up his rig in Gordy Ramsay's restaurants at both hotels. Spotted strutting their stuff in front of the camera were Blighty's very own Ewan McGregor and bad-boy Colin Farrell. But where's the female love interest we hear you ask? Who has Woody got in mind? Scarlett Johansson again? Well knowing the true way to a man's heart is through his stomach I think otherwise...phowaarrrrrrrrrrr!
