Tom's Place ... what else could Tom Aikens call his new fish and chip shop

TomAiken100x100.jpgKitchen Rat guessed that Tom Aiken's new restaurant would be called Tom's Place (although I felt that he should have gone the full cheese factor and gone for Plaice) when we broke the story in February that he was soon to open a fish and chip shop in Chelsea later this year.

Well KR is pleased to note that he was on the money again.... Tom confirmed it was to be called Tom's Place this week.

Oliver Peyton (American restauranteur who had a UK chain and claimed the introduction of the Chicago Deep Pan Pizza to the UK) opened a fish restaurant at Leicester Square which was called --- da daaar -- Peyton Plaice .

2 or 3 puns in one.

It think it was actually Bob Payton and the fish restaurant was called Payton Plaice. I used to work for the design company which did all his graphics and advertising at the time in the mid-80's.
