
A recent poll by CatererSearch into whether the Swallow brand had any value left was unfortunately thwarted by pesky technology gremlins.
However, our spies tell us that at least one hotel's former brigade left their new owners in no doubt as to the worth they felt remained in the Swallow brand.
At this particular hotel, which was taken over by the new management company after Swallow spectacularly went bust last August, staff were, apparently, only too pleased to get rid of their Swallow-branded uniforms.
So pleased, in fact, that on receiving their new outfits, the employees arranged a team cremation in a wheely bin in the car-park for all their old Swallow gear.
The new management told us they'd never found it so easy to rebrand a property - the staff couldn't wait to remove every last Swallow icon from the premises.
