Marco swears not to, erm, swear

marco.jpgWith the new series of Hell's Kitchen getting ever closer, nervous ITV mandarins this week called Marco Pierre White in for a heart-to-heart about his language.

A seven-second lag on the ‘live’ broadcast will allow the producers to bleep out any unacceptable language, but that doesn’t dispel the spectre of Marco causing mortal offence to lip-readers up and down the country.

According to the chef, a pale, unassuming man from the legal department turned a bright shade of beetroot as he read out the c-word, the n-word and the host of other –words that Mary Whitehouse had nightmares about.

“I don’t think he’d ever come across many of the words in his life,” Marco tells Kitchen Rat.

However, you can be sure that none of the words were new to MPW. This, after all, is a man who had Bernard Manning along to entertain guests at his 40th birthday party.

Trig :

I'm probably being really slow here but please tell me the bit about Bernard Manning was a joke?!

Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed how common it is for the abusive traits of certain chefs to be passed down to certain protegées i.e MPW->Ramsay->Wareing

Kitchen Rat :

Thanks for your comments Trig. I fear your moniker is fairly accurate on this occasion as Manning did indeed "entertain" guests at Marco's 40th.

As for the "abusive chef" pipeline, interesting point - what do others think?
